Jenn Hutt is a Baltimore-born experimental violinist, composer, and multidisciplinary performer, based in Europe since 2005. She performs with her violin, electronic machines, voice and body, and composes for theatre, film, tv, sound installation, performance, dance, orchestra and string ensemble. Her music and playing style is deeply influenced by her roots
in the Baltimore indie music scene… dark and experimental, featuring elements of art pop, electronica, punk and film music.

Her musical composition is usually mixed with sound design and electro-acoustic creation, often venturing into surreal spaces and places.

She has been performing internationally for over 20 years and her compositions have been heard at l’Arsenic Theatre, Lausanne, Theatre des Amandiers, Paris, T2G Theatre Gennevilliers, Paris , le Quai Theatre, Angers, Theatre Saint Gervais, Geneva, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Toronto International Film Festival, Locarno International Film Festival, La Quadriennale de Prague, The Institut du Monde Arabe, Fondation Louis Vuitton, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, MAtera INtermedia Festival, MMK Moderne Art Frankfurt, EntreVues Belfort International Film Festival, Vienna International Film Festival, and the Human Rights International Film Festival in Mexico, among others.

Jenn has worked with artists and groups such as Jonathan Capdevielle (FR), Will Oldham (US), Franky GoGo (FR), Arthur Gillette (Moriarty) (FR), Moriba Koïta (ML), Katrina Ford (US), Rosemary Standley (FR), Bianca Bondi (ZA), Majida Khattari (MA), Safia Benhaim (FR), Clelia Patrono (IT), Marc-Antoine Perrio (FR), Nidi d’Arac (IT) and Faren Khan (FR) and trained with violinists Mark Feldman (US) and L. Subramaniam (IN).
